Rutnucker Learner's Institute is a private boarding school positioned at the edge of a forest on a Legally Distinct Earth™. It has a student population of ~100-200. The exact number shouldn't matter. Edward Pike & Lauren Pike are the credited editors of the Rutnucker Chronicle.
The world in which The Rutnucker Chronicle takes place observes a 12 month calendar with 28 days each. The first of every month is a Sunday. Because The Rutnucker Chronicle is published semiweekly on Fridays, that means it's always released on the 6th and 20th of each month. Why? Because it makes things easier for editorial. The first issue takes place in the year 930. Why 930? Why not?
There are 10 issues per semester and 20 issues per year:
